Overview

In addition to supplying Airide™ air springs to vehicle original equipment manufacturers, FSIP also makes air springs for the industrial market and the heavy duty and light duty aftermarkets.  In the enthusiast aftermarket, FSIP is an industry leader with the Ride-Rite™, Coil-Rite™ and Level-Rite™ brands of air helper springs.

 

 

Position Summary

The Process Engineers are responsible to investigate issues in the plant process and/or product using problem solving techniques to arrive at root causes and develop counter measures to correct issues.  Process Engineers maintain & establish plant formulas and specifications to meet requirements in quality, performance, process ability, productivity, standardization, and cost.  They also implement changes in process and/or product required due to changes in the environment or technology that do not adversely impact the for mentioned items.

Responsibilities

  • Position is responsible for project management and project management support on an as needed basis
  • Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations
  • Proposing and evaluating manufacturing processes and equipment for assigned areas of plant
  • Directing the development of and/or improvements to manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Evaluating expenditures for processes and/or equipment
  • Analyzing tooling and equipment and selecting proper steps for solutions
  • Optimize process engineering and continuous improvement  principles to day-to-day operation of the plant and assist in the management of plant processes and personnel training
  • Work closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Provide process engineering support for Capital and Maintenance projects
  • Supporting new model launches and corporate charts to view outcomes
  • Collect data and create spreadsheets and Pareto charts to view outcomes
  • Develop countermeasures to ensure top scrap/waste issues are reduced or eliminated.
  • Ability to successfully perform root cause analysis
  • Experienced with conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
  • Knowledge and experience with programming utilizing RSLogix 5000 (for PLC) and View Studio ME (for HMI)
  • Experience with Servo drives, Cognex Vision Systems and Network databases
  • Ability and willingness to work hands on trouble shooting robotic equipment.
  • Meeting plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
  • Maintenance background with knowledge of networking.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Associates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with Auto Cad, Solidworks or Inventor, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel data management, analysis and transfer) a plus.
  • Ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
 
Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Associates with 2 - 5 years engineering experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with Auto Cad, Solidworks or Inventor, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel data management, analysis and transfer) a plus.
  • Ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
