In addition to supplying Airide air springs to vehicle original equipment manufacturers, FSIP also makes air springs for the industrial market and the heavy duty and light duty aftermarkets. A. Processes approved requisitions by completing all necessary information into SAP
B. Obtains price and quotations through sales reps, etc.
C. Obtains information relative to all phases of buying, comparing vendors' products, quality, etc.
D. Investigates discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
E. Negotiates with suppliers any problems.
F. Consults with interested personnel for possible substitutions to affect cost savings.
2. Sources of Supply Contacts
A. Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, etc.
B. On items assigned, maintains a constant effort to buy in best order quantities.
A. Contacts vendors and follows-up with carriers to ensure deliveries are on schedule.
B. Coordinates shipping methods and routings.
C. Keeps in constant contact with suppliers on items of critical delivery nature.
A. Keeps proper records and makes necessary reports as required.
B. Performs various miscellaneous duties as requested by manager.
C. Assists with incoming calls and front desk.
D. Assists with inventory control.
This is a Purchasing function for this location in Dyersburg, TN.
It is an 8 hour per day, 40 hours per week position.
Ten years progressively responsible positions in manufacturing, scheduling or customer service.
4 year college degree (Business related)
